UP Polls 2022: March 3 Voting To See Big Names In Fray, 37 Of 57 Seats Under Red Alert Zone

On March 3, sixth phase of voting is being conducted in Uttar Pradesh. Voting is being held for 57 seats of eastern Uttar Pradesh, spread across 10 districts. Among the key candidates in this phase is Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is contesting his first assembly poll from Gorakhpur. Till 9 am, an average turnout of 8.7 per cent was recorded across the 57 constituencies, reported NDTV. In this phase, 37 out of the 57 seats fall under the red alert zone. This phase will see political heavyweights such as CM Yogi Adityanath, the Congress’ Ajay Kumar Lallu & Samajwadi Party’s Swami Prasad Maurya contesting. Voting for the remaining 54 seats in Uttar Pradesh will be held on March 7 in the seventh and final phase.
