Mumbai, July 28: This month, several smartphones were launched in India and the international smartphone market. In July 2024, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 and Xiaomi MIX Flip were launched in China. In India, iQOO Z9 Lite, OnePlus Nord 4, Vivo Y18i itel ColorPro 5G, POCO M6 5G, Samsung Galaxy M35 5G, HONOR 200 5G, HONOR 200 Pro 5G and POCO F6 Deadpool Edition were launched. Each smartphone offered a unique design, segment-leading specifications and features.
Despite these launches, the remaining devices to launch this month include OPPO K12x 5G on July 29, Redmi Pad SE and Redmi Pad Pro on July 29, Xiaomi 14 Civi Limited Edition on July 29, Realme Note 13 Pro series on July 30, and Nothing Phone 2a Plus on July 31, 2024. List of Upcoming Smartphones To Launch in August 2024
Next month, the following smartphones are confirmed to launch in India: Motorola Edge 50 with MIL-810 certification, Infinix Note 40X 5G, POCO M6 Plus 5G, Google Pixel 9 series, Vivo V40 series and Samsung Galaxy M55s. Beyond these confirmed smartphones, the others are speculated to be launched without official confirmation from the companies.
- Motorola Edge 50 with MIL-810H certification will be launched on August 1. The company claims that this military-grade phone will offer better protection against accidental drops, extreme heat, pressure, and other factors. The smartphone will pack a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, a 6,67-inch pOLED display, and a 50MP+10MP+13MP camera setup. It will likely be launched in the higher-mid range segment between INR 30,000 and INR 40,000.
- POCO M6 Plus 5G will be launched on August 1. It is expected to have a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a 6.79-inch display, a 108MP+2MP rear camera, and a 13MP camera for selfie. It might also have a 5,030mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The price is expected to start from INR 14,999.
- The Infinix Note 40X 5G is confirmed to launch on August 5, 2024, likely featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor. Additionally, it may offer up to 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM. The device is expected to have a 108MP primary camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging and could be launched around INR 10,000 or above.
- Google Pixel 9 series, including Google Pixel 9, Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, will be launched globally on August 13 and in India on August 14. These smartphones will come with a familiar yet improved design, redesigned camera setup, and better specifications and features compared to the Pixel 8 series.
- The Vivo V40 series, including Vivo V40 5G and Vivo V40 Pro 5G, will be introduced in India in August 2024; however, the company has yet to confirm the official smartphone launch date. It is expected to have a 144Hz 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset with up to 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB built-in memory options. It is confirmed to launch with four 50MP cameras - three on the rear and a selfie camera on the front with a ZEISS lens. The price of these smartphones is expected to start from INR 30,000.
- Samsung Galaxy M55s was spotted on Geekbench and will be launched in India soon. The Galaxy M55s launch is expected in August with a massive 6,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, Adreno 644 GPU and AMOLED plus display.
Besides these confirmed launches, August might have surprises such as Honor Magic 6 Pro and Honor Magic V2, which HTech CEO Madhav Sheth has teased. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 is also expected to arrive in India soon. After these devices, the iPhone 16 series, with significant improvements and upgrades in specifications and features, will be introduced in September 2024.
