London, August 22: West Yorkshire Police in England, after receiving reports of altercation near the BMI Huddersfield Hospital on Wednesday morning, have told people and patients to avoid the hospital  area until Thursday. According to the police, the lockdown in the area is a result of a "targeted attack."

Detective Inspector Mark Atkinson, of Kirklees District CID, was quoted saying that the enquiries are in the early stages and that it appears to be a targeted attack.

He also added that the neighbourhood officers would be carrying out reassurance patrols in and around the hospital area.

Andrew Robinson, reporter for the Huddersfield Examiner, an evening local newspaper, tweeted about the incident with a picture from the spot. Check the picture in the tweet below:

The police also added that they would like to hear from anyone with information about the incident. The police said that they are on the lookout for those involved in the incident.
