War Between India, Pakistan Likely in October, Says Pak Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed

Rawalpindi, August 28: Pakistan Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Wednesday predicted a full-blow war between Pakistan and India. Ahmed said that both the countries are expected to go on a war in October or the following month. Speaking on the Kashmir issue, Ahmed state that the time for a final freedom struggle for the Valley has come. “The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) would have held a plebiscite in Kashmir till now if it really wanted to solve the issue. We must stand with the people of the occupied Valley, and I will visit Kashmir once again after Muharram 10,” reported Pakistan Today quoting Ahmed as saying.

The Pakistan Railways Minister appreciated China’s support to his country over the issue. He also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, callling him a "barbarian and fascist". Meanwhile, Pakistan has issued a notice to airmen (NOTAM) and Naval warning in the view of a possible missile test-firing from Sonmiani flight test range near Karachi. Tensions between India and Pakistan once again soared after the Modi government scrapped the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

It is not the first time that Pakistan shuts its airspace. A day after India conducted airstrikes on Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp in Balakot, the neighbouring country had closed its airspace.
