Mumbai, August 30: Denise Prudhomme, a 60-year-old employee at the Wells Fargo office in Tempe, Arizona in the US, was found dead in her office cubicle on August 20. Prudhomme had died four days earlier on August 16. Her body went unnoticed by fellow employees until a security guard noticed an unresponsive employee and called the authorities.
Denise Prudhomme's last entry in the West Washington Street office was recorded at around 7 AM local time on August 16. It was only when the building's security guard found the employee sitting at her cubicle on the third floor that Prudhomme's death came to notice four days later. The guard informed the local police to look into the matter. The officials pronounced her dead at 4:55 PM local time on August 20.
Wells Fargo's Statement and Police Investigations
Wells Fargo, in its statement toArizona's Family, expressed its condolences to Prudhomme's family, saying, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague at our Tempe office. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and loved ones during this difficult time." The statement added counsellors were available to the employees to seek support via its Employee Assistance Consulting service. It also said that the company is fully cooperating with the police in the matter.

In their preliminary investigations, the Temple Police Department did not report any signs of foul play. However, their criminal investigation bureau is continuing its investigations in collaboration with the Maricopa County Medical Examiner to ascertain the exact cause of Denise Prudhomme's death.
Co-Workers Comment on Prudhomme's Death
Employees at Wells Fargo and co-workers of Denise Prudhomme expressed their deep shock and regret at her death. A worker told 12 News, "It's really heart-breaking and I'm thinking, 'What if I were just sitting there? No one would check on me?'" The person further added on the finding of Prudhomme's body four days after she had died, "And nobody did anything. That's how she spent her last moments. It's negligence in some part."
