US: Woman Charged With Child Endangerment After Leaving Her 3 Children in Hot Car While Shopping for Nearly an Hour in Texas

Washington, July 8: A woman in the US state of Texas was recently arrested and charged with three counts of child endangerment for allegedly leaving her three children in a hot car. The incident came to light after a woman noticed the accused's woman's three children in a hot car alone. The incident occurred on June 28 when Angela Garza–Amador left her three children alone in the car and went shopping.

The San Antonio Police Department said that the woman left her three children—aged four, two, and one month—in the car while she was shopping for nearly an hour, reports People. In her complaint, the woman told cops that the incident occurred around 2 PM local time. The woman also said that a two-year-old girl was in the car. Later, the woman opened the unlocked front door of the car and ran inside the store to get help. She told cops that the boy was sweating profusely and seemed to be grasping for air. When a group of people removed the children from the car, they also found a one-month-old baby.

The woman who filmed the incident said that the children's mother exited the store soon after the police arrived at the spot. According to reports, the temperature was 97 degrees Celsius when the kids were found in the car alone. The police confirmed that the children were kept in the car by their mother for nearly an hour. After the incident, the police arrested Angela Garza-Amador, who was charged with three counts of endangering her children. Meanwhile, a preliminary police report revealed that all three children were likely to be discharged from a local hospital the same day. The woman was later released on a bond of USD 25,000.
