Washington D.C, May 18: At least seven people lost their lives in a shooting that happened at a house party near Ball State University here early on Saturday, authorities said. Muncie Police Chief Joe Winkle told CNN that at least three people among the partygoers, including varsity students, suffered severe injuries in the incident.
The shooting took place about a three-minute drive to the University. The wounded were transported to a hospital in Muncie, Lieutenant Ryan Trissel from Muncie Police Department was quoted as saying. However, the police have denied any threat to the campus."Ball State is advising there is no ongoing threat to campus. Resume normal activities," the University tweeted.
