A Kentucky woman is accused of killing her mother and chopping her body into pieces over witchcraft, with remains found scattered throughout the home. She has since been arrested.
Kentucky, October 15: In a harrowing incident, a woman in Kentucky, US, is accused of chopping her mother into pieces over practising witchcraft. She has been arrested for allegedly killing her mother and dismembering her body. Facing charges of obstructing government work, tampering with evidence, and mistreating a corpse. Police discovered the remains scattered throughout the house and outside.
According to a report by News18, the accused, identified as Torilena Fields, is a 32-year-old woman. Reports indicate that the daughter practised witchcraft, which contributed to a strained relationship with her mother. Kentucky State Police reported that they received a call last Wednesday from a contractor who reported finding a woman’s dismembered body inside a residence on Brierly Ridge Rd. Police arrived shortly before 12:30 p.m., but Torilena Fields did not respond when they knocked. Upon investigating the back of the house, officers discovered a clump of hair thought to belong to the victim, a blood-stained mattress, and drag marks on the lawn. The contractor had been summoned to the home by Torilena’s mother, Trudy, for property-related issues. The contractor promptly contacted the police after following the drag marks to the backyard, where he discovered Trudy's mutilated body lying in the grass. Upon arriving, officers confirmed the gruesome scene, locating her remains near a blood-soaked mattress. In addition, they found a bloodied stick and another mattress on the back porch, which contained various body parts and organs.
Further, The police reported that they found body parts inside a vessel removed from the oven while investigating the case. The contractor who called the authorities stated he last saw Trudy Fields the day before when she accompanied him to his gate, noting that only Trudy and her daughter, Torilena Fields, were in the house at the time. He also alleged that Torilena practised witchcraft on her mother, leading to a violent confrontation.
When officers entered the residence, Torilena refused to come out, necessitating the use of tear gas around 11 p.m. When she finally emerged, she had blood on her face, hands, and clothing. A subsequent search of the home revealed several body parts cooked in a stainless steel pot inside the oven. The investigation is ongoing.
