Mumbai, August 28: A middle school teacher in New York City has been accused of raping a 14-year-old boy, and now some of the texts she is believed to have sent him have been made public. The youngster alleges that once the accused started filling in as a teacher at his school, Melissa Rockensies, a 33-year-old teacher from Queens, abused his trust for her own gain.

Rockensies was accused of raping a juvenile under the age of 17 and engaging in unlawful sexual activity earlier this week, though she denied all accusations. The boy claims that problems he was having at school with another student led him to start emailing Rockensies. Indore Shocker: 19-Year-Old Girl Abducts and Rapes Minor Boy, Gets 10-Year Jail Under POCSO Act.

I believe she took advantage of the fact that I was young and hence vulnerable around her. I felt at ease around her. I'm intelligent, but I don't always choose wisely. I operate on whim. When someone suggests doing anything, I would usually go ahead with it, the victim told the New York Times. The mother-of-three allegedly started contacting him on Instagram and over the course of a year sent him a tonne of improper messages, which she allegedly also urged him to erase.

The accusations against Rockensies included claims that she met the victim for sex in her car after exchanging sexually explicit communications with him on social media. Rockensies, who has entered a not guilty plea, faces a maximum sentence of seven years in jail. Maharashtra Shocker: Woman Sexually Assaults Minor Boy in Kalyan and Nashik for Three Years, Arrested Under POCSO Act.
