Chicago, September 20: A suburban Chicago community in US are in shock after police found an Illinois couple, their two young children and their three dogs shot dead inside their home on Sunday night. The victims have been identified as Alberto Rolon, 38, and Zoraida Bartolomei, 32, and their two boys, aged seven and ten.

NBC Chicago reported that the Police found the bodies on Sunday night after a family member asked police for a "wellbeing check" because one of those who died didn't show up for work that day. US Shocker: 10-Year-Old Boy Arrested, Sent to Jail for Urinating Behind Mother’s Car in Mississippi.

The two children attended RC Hill Elementary School, according to Valley View School District Superintendent Rachel Kinder, who sent a note to the community. According to the neighbours, the family was nice and quiet, and did not interact much with others.

According to police officials, the family was believed to have been shot between Saturday night and early Sunday. Romeoville Police Department's deputy chief Chris Burne said that the security officials don't believe that the offender is among the victims right now.

He further said that the motive behind the crimes is unclear but he does not believe the public is at risk.

He continued that there's no active police search for any suspected assailants near the home.

A team of investigators and forensics experts has spent 36 hours at the crime scene to collect physical evidence. "We were able to determine that this was not a random incident, and there was no cause for a shelter-in-place order," Burne added.
