Mumbai, July 12: An ex-guidance school counsellor allegedly sent nude pics and indulged in sex acts with a 13-year-old student in her office at Connecticut's school in the US. The alleged sexual abuse was exposed by her male friend after he found explicit messages on her mobile phone. The accused, Luisa Melchionne, was arrested and charged on July 11 with second-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. 

As per the New York Post, the arrest was made after Melchionne's male friend contacted the police after discovering the phone filled with inappropriate text messages between Melchionne and her student. According to the police documents, the text messages also included nude photos of Melchionne and a few money transactions. US: Teacher Sexually Assaults Teenage Student Multiple Times in New Jersey, Arrested.

During questioning, the 13-year-old teen told the officials he received nude photos from Melchionne and payments for Uber rides, food and some money around Christmas last year. He added that Melchionne did "lapdances" and other sexual actions with him behind closed doors. Subsequently, the Norwalk police charged Melchionne with second-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. US Shocker: High School Teacher Has Sex With Student in North Carolina, Arrested.

Speaking to NBC, the Norwalk Public Schools said: "The safety of our students is our first concern. Luisa Melchionne is no longer employed by Norwalk Public Schools. Norwalk Public Schools is cooperating with the Norwalk Police Department’s investigation and has no further comment."

After the matter came to fore, the counsellor resigned from the institution. Following her arrest, she was produced in the state Superior Court in Stamford. The court directed her to follow strict probation rules and stay under house arrest. She is also not allowed to be alone with any minors except her three children.
