Malibu, October19: A 22-year-old driver has been charged with manslaughter for crashing a BMW on Pacific Coast highway in Malibu in United States, killing four senior students from Pepperdine University. The driver, identified as Fraser Michael Bohm, facing charges of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, was released on Thursday, October 19 due to lack of evidence, reported FOX11.

The tragic incident took place at around 8:30 pm on Tuesday when Bohm, driving at a high speed, rammed into the four students from Pepperdine University who were walking in the area. The car collided with three vehicles parked in the nearby area, bounced off and mowed down the four students. According to witnesses, as Bohm came out of the car unharmed, a group of people pinned him down to the ground and handed him over to the police. The crash victims were identified by University officials as 20-year-old  Niamh Rolston, Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir and Deslyn Williams.  Four victims were declared dead on the spot. while two others were taken to a nearby hospital in unknown conditions. Pepperdine University is located roughly around 6.5 kilometres from the spot where the accident occurred. Police officers said that Bohm lost control of his car while driving and collided with a car thereby killing the university students. Accident Caught on Camera in US: Florida Man Driving Dodge Challenger at High Speed Loses Control, Car Flings and Lands Into Cape Coral Canal (Watch Video).

Several cases of rash driving incidents have been reported in the US in recent times. In a recent car crash, a Florida man, while racing with a Mercedes, lost control of his Dodge Challenger and plunged into a canal. A man walking on his lawn narrowly escaped when the car, after colliding with a palm tree, went airborne and launched into the water. Fortunately, the driver and the man evaded a major accident and were left unharmed. A good Samaritan swam into the canal and brought the driver out of the water.
