Seems Prime Minister Narendra Modi has some competition when it comes to rhetoric. And this time the challenge is from America. US President Donald Trump, upset with the high import duty on Harley Davidson bikes in India said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to him about it but he does not know whether to be happy about it or not. According to reports, he also mimicked Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech.

"We want fair trade deals. Harley Davidson sends motorcycles to India, they have to pay 100% tax. When I spoke to PM (Modi) he said we are lowering it to 50% but so far we are getting nothing. He gets 50%, he thinks, he is doing us a favour, but that is not a favour" said Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a beautiful person but also complained that US does not get any tax on the bikes that India sells to US but India charges high tax on (Harley Davidson) bikes.

President Trump went on to imitate Prime Minister Modi by folding his hands and taking on a soft and serious tone, "He said it beautifully, he is a beautiful man and he said I just want to inform you that we have reduced it to 75 and we have further reduced it to 50. And I further said, huh, what do I say? Am I supposed to be thrilled?"

Earlier in January, US media reported that Trump is known to affect an Indian accent and imitate Prime Minister Modi. This may be the first time that an US President has tried mimicking an Indian Prime Minister. There has been no reaction from India so far. (With Agency Inputs)
