According to the People report, Shenting Guo, a 32-year-old woman, has been taken into custody after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend and severing his penis. The incident came to light when police responded to a call about an unresponsive male at the Woodspring Suites hotel. According to an affidavit reported by the media outlet, Guo believed her boyfriend was dead but couldn't provide a reason why. Emergency responders arrived to find a blood-covered bed, and the man was discovered unresponsive under it. His genitalia had been cut off, and a severed penis was found in a nearby bin.
Accused Woman Thought Victim 'Got Her Pregnant Again'
Guo allegedly claimed that she and the victim had previously gotten into an argument because he wouldn't let her go to sleep and that she had threatened to stab him. She also told police the duo got into an argument because she thought the man had “got her pregnant again,” leading to a disagreement on whether the man was the father. Guo is currently held at the Mesa County Detention Centre and faces second-degree murder charges. The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating the incident, and the Mesa County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the deceased after appropriate notifications have been made.
