Washington, July 16: A woman from Indiana, United States, has been accused of killing a 10-year-old boy by laying on top of him. The accused woman, Jennifer Lee Wilson, was a foster mother to the victim, Dakota Levi Stevens. The woman was arrested on July 13 in Berrien County after a camera detected her car. Officials said that Wilson was a suspect in a homicide case.
The alleged homicide incident occurred nearly two months ago when a medical emergency was reported at a home in Liberty Township, Indiana, on April 25, reports People. Soon after the incident, officials rushed the boy to a local hospital, where he was declared dead. Following the incident, the police issued an arrest warrant for Wilson on charges of homicide. Officials said the Department of Child Services had placed Stevens with Wilson a month before he died. Court documents revealed that Wilson admitted to laying on Stevens for nearly five minutes before he stopped moving. In her statement, Wilson said she tried to stop Stevens from leaving but does not recall if she tackled him or whether they fell on the ground.
After the incident came, police officials also reviewed the Ring video footage obtained from Wilson's home. The video showed Wilson lying on Steven's head and neck area as he was seen screaming. In another clip, Wilson is heard saying that she laid on him as he was acting badly. After Stevens stopped moving, Wilson administered CPR and even called 911.
