The incident occurred on March 6 on private agricultural land in Rhosllanerchrugog when the dogs managed to escape from their home. David Hughes, 26, residing in Pen y Wern, Rhosllanerchrugog, appeared before Wrexham Magistrates Court on August 22.
He admitted to being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog and being the owner of dogs that worried livestock. As a result of his actions, Hughes was banned from keeping dogs for five years and was ordered to pay £900 in fines. According to the Mirror reports, the horrific incident profoundly impacted the farmer, who made numerous attempts to halt the frenzied attack on his livestock but failed to regain control of the aggressive dogs.
