India welcomes the United States - DPRK Summit held in Singapore. In a statement Ministry of External Affairs said, "This is a positive development. India has always supported all efforts to bring about peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula through dialogue and diplomacy"
While addressing a press conference after the summit, Donald Trump said, "I think this meeting was good for United States as it was for North Korea. Only a person who hates Donald Trump would say that I have agreed to make a big commitment. Yes, it was a big commitment to meet Kim. But, it was good for us."
U.S. President Donald Trump also hinted at waiving off sanctions against North Korea. He said, "The sanctions will come off when we are sure that nuclear missiles are no longer a factor. I am looking forward to take them off"
Donald Trump lauded Kim Jon Un for his positive approach in going ahead with this summit . He said, "Kim told me that we have never gone so far. He said that he never had the confidence in any of the previous Presidents in getting things done. He wanted to do this, even more than me."
US President Donald Trump in Singapore said, "We signed a very comprehensive document today and I think when Kim Jong Un lands in North Korea he will start the process soon." He also said that Jong Un had the chance to cease an opportunity for better future of North Korea.
China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the future could be positive in the Korean Peninsula and the world at large with the US and North Korea turning the tides of their bilateral relations. "The United States and North Korea have been in a state of antagonism for more than half a century. Today, that the two countries’ highest leaders can sit together and have equal talks, has important and positive meaning, and is creating a new history," he said.
In a major success for the United States, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly agreed to complete 'denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula'. Ahead of the meeting, reports said Pyongyang was firm on retaining some element of his nuclear arsenal in order to "maintain self-respect".
The historic summit between North Korea and the US has ended with the "signing of comprehensive documents". President Donald Trump is scheduled to address the press within an hour.
Speaking just minutes after Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un signed a joint document, President Trump said that he had developed a "very special bond" with Kim Jong-Un.
When asked by visiting reporters if he would invite Kim to the White House, Trump responded that he would: "Absolutely, I will."
Standing again in front of the U.S. and North Korean flags, where they began the historic day, Trump and Kim shook hands one final time.

Trump's statement of 'special bond' could be seen as he seemed comfortable shaking hands with Kim Jong-Un as well as patting him and ushering him down corridors.
President Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un signed a joint document, although the exact details of its contents are still unknown.
"We're signing a very important document, a pretty comprehensive document," Trump told the reporters. He said he would discuss it "at great length" at an upcoming news conference.
Upon being asked if they had discussed 'denuclearization, Trump says all issues were discussed and they would soon begin work on a 'dangerous issue.'
The table where they'll sign. We just don't know what exactly it is they will sign.

The CNN is reporting that a U.S. official told reporters that President Trump and Kim Jong Un will sign an agreement to acknowledge the progress of the talks and pledge to keep momentum going.
The announcement of "the signing" came from the U.S. President himself after the end of the historic bilateral talks.

President Trump just told reporters that he and Kim Jong Un were off to "a signing" after their working lunch.
Trump made the remark during a brief stroll around the Capella Hotel with Kim. The President also said the talks had gone "better than anybody could have expected." Upon being asked what are they signing? Trump said, "We don't know...(We would) "find out in a couple of minutes".
At the bilateral meeting with top advisers from both sides, North Korea's Kim Jong Un said he believed the meeting with President Trump is "a great prelude to peace."
Kim continued: "As I said earlier, until now, others have been unable to attempt." "Of course there will be difficulties along the way, but as of today, a day that a good start has been made, I am determined to start a grand undertaking together," he added.

As the meetings have largely been on schedule, the two delegations have moved on to a working lunch. A working lunch is a meal in the middle of the day during which work is done or discussed.
For starters, the leaders and their advisers can choose between a prawn cocktail with avocado salad, green mango kerabu or "oiseon," a Korean stuffed cucumber.
This will be followed by a main course with options of beef short rib confit, sweet and sour crispy pork with Yangzhou Fried Rice or "daegu jorim," a Korean soy braised cod fish.
For desert, on the menu is dark chocolate tartlet ganache, vanilla ice cream or "tropezienne," a pastry dessert.
What is missing is a hamburger which is reportedly Donald Trump's favourite. During his 2016 campaign, Trump had said he wanted to eat a burger with Kim Jong-Un.
Yonhap reported South Korea's President Moon Jae-in and other cabinet members delayed their weekly meeting to watch the opening of the Trump-Kim summit.
Speaking on Tuesday, Moon admitted he had "spent a sleepless night" and that he hoped the talks between Trump and Kim "will open a new era of complete denuclearisation, peace and a new relationship between South Korea, North Korea and the United States".
U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will meet for an unprecedented summit on Tuesday in Singapore.
The meeting is a dramatic shift in relations between the two countries, who last year traded insults and threats of war. Washington hopes the summit will kick-start a process that eventually leads to denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.
North Korea has said it is willing to commit to denuclearisation, but it is unclear how this will be achieved or what might be requested in return.
In his latest tweet, hours before the summit was due to begin, Trump attacked his critics who have been arguing that the U.S. president should not be meeting the North Korean leader.
However, North Korea known for its taciturn behaviour of its leaders is not an easy country to negotiate with as previous U.S. Presidents have found out for themselves. Will Trump's experience be different?
