Texas, October 24: In a shocking incident in Texas’ Lewisville 51-year-old Travis Merrill was arrested for fatally shooting his coworker, Tamhara Collazo, at their Allegiance Trucks office on Thursday. Authorities revealed that Merrill had developed an obsession with Collazo, growing increasingly angry over what he perceived as her taking unauthorised long breaks at work.

According to an affidavit, Merrill meticulously tracked her breaks and was upset that she avoided him after reporting his behaviour to human resources, reported Fox10. On Thursday, when Collazo returned from lunch, Merrill followed her to her cubicle and shot her multiple times. She was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries. Merrill confessed to police that he intentionally planned the attack, wanting Collazo to feel the same pain he believed she caused him. Allegiance Trucks expressed devastation in a statement, noting that its Lewisville office has been closed indefinitely as they support Collazo's family and employees. The company is cooperating with law enforcement during the investigation.
