Texas Couple Held Responsible For Newborn Daughter's Death; Autopsy Reveals Baby Suffered 96 Fractures
A Texas couple has been arrested in the murder of their newborn daughter. An autopsy report of the child revealed she had 97 fractures on her body at the time of her death.
A mother and father in the United States have been charged in the death of their prematurely born daughter Jazmine. After the day died last year, autopsy report which was recently revealed that The 10-week-old baby suffered 96 fractures including multiple broken ribs and a skull fracture. According to Harris County, Texas' court records, the child's mother Katharine White, was charged with injury by omission for failing to protect her. The Texas couple 24-year-old Jason Paul Robin is charged with the murder of the child; the mother, 21-year-old Katharine Wyndham faces a count of injury to the baby. According to the court, Jazmine was born at 19 weeks and was released to her parents on July 3, 2018. She was later admitted after being "clearly inflicted head trauma". Paul told the doctor that his doctor did not look good that day, hence he took her to the hospital. According to the court records, he admitted that he had anger issues and occasionally slammed doors. Paul said that he never hit his daughter but Jazmine died from her injuries on July 15. Katharine first told investigators that the injuries were probably from the hour of CPR that the hospital staff administered on her. She also said that another adult living in the house would have harmed her. Other than the parents of the child, another adult also lived with them in the same house. Doctors at the hospital said that they notice black bruises around Jazmine's eye and blood on her tongue. According to the final autopsy report, the child died due to blunt head trauma. Texas Child Protective Services (CPS) has removed two other children from the couple's home. While their two-year-old son is in foster care, a baby born after Jazmine's death is currently with a relative.
