Dubai, June 16: In a shocking development, a six-year-old boy on Saturday died after behind left behind in a bus for several hours in Dubai, according to a media report. The Indian boy, identified as Mohamed Farhan Faisal from Kerala, was a student of Islamic Centre in Al Quoz, reports the Khaleej Times. Victims family sources said that Faisal slept off in a bus after boarding at Karama. He was left behind as all the students alight from the bus. According to reports, the Dubai police was reported about the tragedy at 3 pm. "The child was found as the driver took the bus out to drop the students back home," a senior police official said. After the initial investigation, the body was shifted to the forensic department at 6 pm for an autopsy. "The mortal remains will be handed over to the family after all legal and administrative procedures have been completed," the official said.

In a similar case from UAE, in 2014, a Kindergarten student at Abu Dhabi's Al Worood Academy Private School, Nizaha Ala, "suffocated to death after being forgotten inside a bus". The news had shocked the nation and sparked a major discussion on child safety in buses.
