Mumbai, September 26: In a shocking incident that took place in the United States, an employee of a fast food restaurant allegedly fired at a customer after an argument broke out over missing fries. The alleged incident took place in March 2021 in Houston, but the incident came to light recently when a video of the firing was released. Complainant Anthony Ramos, in his lawsuit in Houston, claimed that the incident occurred at a drive-thru outlet of a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant.

According to ABC News, Ramos stopped at the restaurant as he had gone to pick up his wife and daughter at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Ramos said his family ordered a combo meal but found the fries missing. When he complained about the same, an argument broke out between him and one of the employees. Siblings Drive 200 Miles From Home in US: Brother-Sister Duo Take Mother's Car for Joyride in Florida After She Takes Away Their Gadgets.

Later, the employee reportedly pulled out a gun, thus forcing the family to speed off in their car. The alleged video shows Alonniea Fantasia Ford, the restaurant's employee, removing her gun and allegedly lunging out of the window to fire at the vehicle. The lawsuit claims that Ford fired at the family twice.

Ramos's lawyer, Randall Kallinen, said that the family paid USD 12.99 for the combo meal but did not receive the fries, which led to an argument. The lawyer also said Ford, who was agitated, allegedly threw ice and condiments before firing at the family. The lawsuit, which was filed last year, claims that the restaurant "Jack-in-the-Box" was negligent in not keeping their customers safe. Meanwhile, the restaurant has denied all allegations and in its defence said that it has "no control" over and "is not legally responsible" for third parties, such as Ford. The employee was awarded a jail sentence of one year after being charged with aggravated assault.
