Mumbai, August 7: In an unusual divorce case filed in Taiwan, a husband has claimed that the wife demanded cash from him each time he wished to have sex. The husband also stated that his wife told their relatives that the husband was “too fat” and "incompetent." The court granted the divorce based on the grounds that the wife had refused to have sex with her husband.

Reports say that the couple got married in 2014 and have two children. Prompted by these issues, the husband filed for divorce in 2021. However, the wife persuaded him to work on their relationship, leading him to transfer property into her name. The husband filed for divorce again this year, citing that they had not communicated directly for two years and only used a messaging app for necessary interactions. Despite attempts at marriage counselling, their relationship remained strained. The court granted the divorce, describing their relationship as “cold and difficult to fix.” The wife opposed the divorce and appealed to a higher court, but her appeal was rejected.
