Dzerzhinsk, June 1: A major blast at a factory in the Russian city of Dzerzhinsk has left 36 wounded, according to the local media reports. According to reports, the explosion took place at a explosives plant. The facility at the JSC Kristall Research Institute has been completely destroyed after the incident. The blast took place at Kristall factory which is about 400 km east of the capital city Moscow. Earlier reports stated that two people were missing and 19 were injured. Images posted on social media shows a huge mushroom of back smoke billowing from the area. Fire in Russia Central Bank Building.

The injured includes workers of the plant and nearby residents, who have been shifted to the hospitals for medical attention. The local media showed a huge black cloud of smoke rising from the plant, which reportedly manufactured bombs and explosives for the military. The blast couldn't be doused off even after several hours, and firefighters didn't rule out further blasts. The cause of the incident is unknown.
