Mumbai, September 14: In a tragic incident, a 10-month-old infant died after her father inadvertently left her inside a car for seven hours. The father, identified as a university professor in a college near Lisbon, reportedly forgot to drop the child off at a nursery before starting his workday. The child tragically succumbed to the sweltering conditions inside the car, where she had been inadvertently left for a harrowing seven-hour period.

According to media reports, the lecturer returned to his vehicle seven hours later, only to find his daughter unconscious in the back seat. He made every desperate effort to revive her, but the child remained unresponsive. What Led to Tragic Demise of Child?

On Tuesday, the weather in the area was around 26°C, which means it could have been much hotter inside the car. When the mother learned about their child's demise, she quickly went to the spot. The parents are getting psychological help to deal with their feelings.

As reported by Metro, the vehicle was parked near the NOVA University campus nursery on a Tuesday. Subsequently, the father went to his office within the university's School of Science and Technology. The autopsy reports have not been shared or expected to be disclosed to the public. Although this is a tragic incident, it's unfortunately not the first time children have lost their lives due to being unintentionally left in parked cars. In a similar incident in July, an 18-month-old baby girl died after being left in a hot car overnight following a Fourth of July party.
