In a tragic incident at a daycare centre in Pennsylvania, five children died in a fire. According to reports, the incident occurred at a home operating as a daycare centre. Fire officials pulled seven people out of the home, but they didn't manage to save the five children.

Harrisburg, August 12: In a tragic incident at a daycare centre in Pennsylvania, five children died in a fire. According to reports, the incident occurred at a home operating as a daycare centre. Fire officials pulled seven people out of the home, but they didn't manage to save the five children.

According to a report on Huffington Post, the centre's owner was also injured in the fire and he was flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. The unfortunate incident took the lives of four siblings and the homeowner's child. The sibling's parents worked in night shift and therefore they stayed in the daycare centre. Erie Fire Department has expressed its deepest sympathies for the families of the deceased. They have shared photos of the horrible tragedy on Facebook.

Reportedly, there was only one smoke detector and the fire might have started from the living room. Had their been more smoke detectors, it would have helped the children and the people inside the house to be alert.
