Pakistan Air Force Seeks Drone Gun from China

The source informed that Drone Jx gun jams the control signal between the ground station and the drone or the UAV, thereby forcing the object to land.

New Delhi, Aug 6: Pakistan is working to build up capacity to hack drone signals in order to jam or change direction of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). An Intelligence source said that the Pakistan Air Force is seeking help from China to enhance its capabilities in this regard. Pakistan airforce has shown interest in procuring a new design portable Drone Jx gun from M/s Aries, Beijing SZMD hitech company Limited. The source informed that Drone Jx gun jams the control signal between the ground station and the drone or the UAV, thereby forcing the object to land. The effective range of the device is 1 Km and it costs USD 7000.

Talking to ANI an officer shared, "This gun shaped device is portable and comes in a backpack. Once directed towards a drone or UAV, it cuts its signals or video streaming from its ground base. Also, it can be direct the drone to the desired place, thus keeping the flying object intact for forensic investigation."
