Peshawar, November 21: At least two children were killed and three others injured when a old mortar shell they were playing with exploded in Pakistan's restive northwest tribal region on Wednesday, police said. The incident occurred in Nelaram Swat District of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The children were playing with the mortar shell in a field, unaware of it being a bomb when it went off injuring five of them, police said. Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistani Troops Broke Ceasefire at LoC, Two Indian Soldiers Injured.
While two of the injured succumbed to the injuries in a hospital, three others are ongoing treatment, police added.
