Pakistan: 16 Dead, 30 Injured in Blast at Hazarganji Sabzi Mandi in Quetta

At least 16 people were killed and in a blast at Hazarganji sabzi mandi in Pakistan’s Quetta on Friday.

Islamabad, April 12: At least 16 people were killed in a blast at Hazarganji sabzi mandi in Pakistan’s Quetta on Friday. Around 30 people were also injured in the blast. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. According to reports of Pakistan Media, eight the dead belonged to the Hazara community. Pakistan: 17 Killed, 30 Injured in Powerful Blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

The blast that ripped through Quetta at around 7:35 am, was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED). The explosives were hidden in the market. Security forces have cordoned off the blast site. No group has claimed the responsibility for the blast. More details are awaited.

Last month, four people were killed, and 10 were injured in Pakistan after a bomb went off on a train track in Balochistan. As the train, coming from Rawalpindi to Quetta, reached Dera Murad Jamali Station, there was a huge blast which damaged a portion of the track.
