Nobel Prize 2024: What is the Winning Amount?

Each Nobel laureate receives 11 million Swedish kronor (around USD 1.1 million), a gold medal, and a diploma. The amount of the Nobel Prize has fluctuated over the years, but has been relatively stable or increased since 2012. The amount is based on the income of the Nobel Foundation in a given year. For example, in 2012, the amount was reduced from 10 million SEK to 8 million SEK to strengthen the foundation's finances. In 2017, the amount was increased to 9 million SEK, and in 2020 it was raised to 10 million SEK.

The prizes will be formally presented at ceremonies in Stockholm and Oslo on December 10, commemorating the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death.
