New York [U.S.A.], Jan 9: Three people have suffered injuries in the fire that broke out on the roof of the Trump Tower in New York. According to the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), the fire broke out in the building's heating, ventilation and air-conditioning unit system on Monday. "The injuries were to a firefighter who was hurt when debris fell on him, an engineer who attempted to put out the fire with an extinguisher and inhaled smoke, and another civilian whose injuries were not immediately disclosed," CNN quoted the FNDY as saying.

It, however, added that none of the injuries were life-threatening. Firefighters, who immediately rushed to the spot, have brought the flames under control.

The 58-storey skyscraper serves as the headquarters of The Trump Organisation. It also houses United States President Donald Trump's penthouse apartment.
