Yangon, May 12: A Myanmar pilot not only saved the day but also many lives after an aircraft's landing gear failed. The aircraft had to make an emergency landing minus the front wheels on Sunday morning, an official was quoted saying by AFP.
The plane was full of passengers, 89 air travellers on board and seven crew members. They escaped injury thanks to the skills and presence of mind of the pilot. The touchdown seemed to be straight from a Hollywood thriller. However, this is the second instance of an airplane malfunctioning within a week in Myanmar.
