Melbourne, April 14: In a tragic incident, some unknown assailants opened fire outside Love Machine Nightclub in Melbourne in the wee hours of Sunday. One person lost his life while two others were critically injured. The incident took place at 3:20 am local time. The injured were immediately rushed to Alfred Hospital. According to reports, a 37-year-old Narre Warren South man succumbed to his injuries, while a 28-year-old man is in a critical condition. Two other people were hit by bullets, but they are out of danger. The man who died in the shooting was an employee of the nightclub.

In a press conference, Inspector Andrew Stamper said, “No stone will be left unturned in terms of finding the people who have carried out this act.” Gunshots were fired from a car into a group of people standing outside the nightclub. The car then left the area via Chapel Street, say reports. Till now arrests have been made over the incident. London Tube Station Shooting Leaves 3 Injured.
The latest incident took place after a series of shootings in Melbourne in March this year in which five people had lost their lives. Australia has strict firearms law which was introduced in 1996 after 35 people were killed by a gunman in Port Arthur.
