In what can be described as a tragic event, three people are reported to have lost their lives after they were mowed down by a train in South London. The exact location of the accident is said to be near Loughborough Junction. The police has launched an inquiry in to the accident and presently states the cause of the accident as "unexplained." The focal point of the investigation now is to find as to how the three men ended up being on the tracks.

It was around 7.30 BST- British Standard Time, that the emergency services were informed about multiple bodies being found and the team reached the station soon after.

The three people were declared dead at the scene by the London Ambulance Service paramedics as soon as they arrived and attended the three.

British Transport Police and Det Supt Gary Richardson of the police force said that their thoughts are with the family and friends of the three people who died, reported the BBC.

Richardson said that his team is now working to determine and understand what really happened and how the three people ended up losing their lives on the railway  tracks. The police has also asked all those who were present at the station to report if they have seen anything relevant to the deaths. The police have alerted that train services may face delay due to the inquiries which are being carried out to determine the cause of the accident.
