Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal confirms 5 new COVID-19 positive cases. He said, "In the last 24 hours, there have been 5 new #COVID19 cases in Delhi. One of them has foreign travel history. Now, the total number of cases rises to 35 in Delhi."

Adding more, he said, "People who buy from their local grocery shops - located in their neighborhood or colonies, don't need Curfew Passes. People don't need any Pass for walking up to their local grocery shops. You can buy vegetables, medicines, milk&other things from your local grocery shops."

Apart from this, the Delhi CM said, "To continue the availability of essential services for all, we have decided to give e-pass to all those who are involved in such professions but do not have any ID. You can reach out to us at 1031 to avail the e-pass."

On the issue of lockdown and essentials supply, he said, "It is govt's responsibility that essential services are provided to all. For people who are working during 21 Days Lockdown, and have govt IDs, they will be allowed to move in the city if they show their govt IDs. Pvt hospital and media IDs will also work."

PM Narendra Modi suggested Indians to take medicines only after consulting a doctor. He said, "Scientists in India and across the world are working on it, work is going on rapidly. If someone recommends you a medicine then kindly talk to your doctor first. Take a medicine only after consulting a doctor."

Adding more, he said, "Whoever has the capability, take the pledge to take care of 9 families for 21 days, it will be a true 'Navratri'. Due to the lockdown, animals are also facing trouble. I appeal to people to take care of the animals around them."

On health workers, PM said, "These days, ppl in hospitals are working for around 18 hours per day; ppl in healthcare sector are not getting more than 2-3 hours of sleep. Civil society ppl are working day in, day out to help poor. We should salute such people who are serving society in this critical hour."

Mumbai, March 25: PM Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown across the country which started from Tuesday midnight. In a television address at 8 PM, Modi highlighted that the need for this step was to contain the spread of the deadly virus. During the three week period, all government offices of top utility would remain accessible.

Emergency services including police, hospital and fire brigade services would also remain available. Essential items like grocery shops, milk supplies, medical stores, PDS ration shops and other outlets selling essential food items will remain open. Banks, insurance offices and ATMs would also be functional, among a few other things. Soon after Modi's announcement, people rushed to the stores thus creating panic buying and long queues at the shops.

FM Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday made big announcements on Income Tax return filing deadlines, GST, Customs and Central Excise, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code among others and said that a said that an economic relief package is being worked out and shall be announced soon. FM in a bid to provide relief to people amid the coronavirus hit economy announced the extension of the deadlines of income tax filing, Aadhaar-PAN Linking. 

Over 30 fresh cases of novel coronavirus cases have been reported from across the country on Tuesday, taking India’s tally to 560.
