Kashmir Has Turned into Karbala, Says Jamaat-e-Islami of Pakistan

Lahore, September 4: Kashmir has turned into Karbala, lamented the chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami of Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, slamming India for dreaming of 'Akhand Bharat' (Greater India) during a talk with Hurriyat leaders here on Wednesday. The Jamaat-e-Islami chief referred to Karbala while talking about the situation in Kashmir, which according to him is very dangerous. Talking to Hurriyat leaders here, Haq said, "Kashmir is burning. People are not even taking their kin's dead bodies even for burial. They are forced to bury the dead bodies inside their homes. Nothing is being done to prevent human rights violations. Haq made some controversial demands to the Pakistani government - cancel the Shimla Agreement and Lahore Declaration, remove the fencing along the LoC and send a peacekeeping force into Kashmir under the United Nations.
