Kabul Blast: 15 People Died, 23 Injured In Suicide Bombing; Death Toll Expected To Rise

The death toll has risen to 15 in a suicide bombing in a Shiite area of Kabul. Twenty- three people have also been reported to be injured in the bombing inside Mawoud Academy in Kabul's Dasht-e-Barchi.

Kabul, August 15: The death toll of the suicide attack in Kabul’s Shiite area has risen to 15. Twenty- three people have also been reported to be injured in the bombing inside Mawoud Academy in Kabul's Dasht-e-Barchi. Most of the students died in the blast. Victims have been taken to various hospitals in Kabul. According to reports, the death toll would rise further.

According to a report published by Associated Press, a suicide bomber has targeted a training class in a private building in a Shiite neighbourhood of Kabul, killing one person and setting off a gunbattle with security guards in the area. No terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.

On July 23, around 23 people were killed in a suicide bombing by the Islamic State at the entrance of the main airport in Afghanistan's capital Kabul. At least 107 people were also injured in the attack. According to reports, a suicide bomber struck minutes after the convoy of Afghan Vice President General Abdul Rasheed Dostum, had passed the area.
