New Delhi, June 3:  Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made fun of his trip to India and termed his visit as a ‘trip to end all trips’. While speaking at the press gallery dinner in Ottawa on May 26, Trudeau took a dig at his week-long tour to India by presenting a slide-show and recounted the gaffes committed during his visit. At first, the Canadian Prime Minister showed an inverted map of India to signify the topsy-turvy trip.

During his visit to India in February this year, the Trudeau family managed to grab headlines in national and international media for all their group photos which were mostly in bright Indian outfits. On his week-long visit to India, the family visited a lot of places including Golden Temple in Amritsar, Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat and Jama Masjid in New Delhi.

In his speech, the Canadian Prime Minister also appeared to describe his disaffection of having been received at the Delhi airport by Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Shekhawat.

During his presentation at the dinner, Trudeau highlighted quite a few points. First, he began with cracking a joke of him being welcomed by the minister of state for agriculture Gajendra Shekhawat and not Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the norm. While showing a photo of him shaking hands with Infosys chairman Sali Parekh, Trudeau said, “Met the CEO of Infosys. A company that for the record announced new investments in Canada, during the course of this trip”. He added, "But you guys (journalists) didn't report on it because I was wearing a shirt and tie. Boring!"

Trudeau then showed the picture where he is seen dressed in a golden ‘sherwani’ standing along with actor Shahrukh Khan dressed in a black suit. "One of us is seriously under-dressed. How embarrassing for him," he joked. While concluding his address, the Canadian Prime Minister said, “That was India, ladies and gentlemen, it was  The Trip to End All Trips".
