Biden's Twitter bio now reads: "President-Elect, husband to @DrBiden, proud father & grandfather. Ready to build back better for all Americans (sic)." Similarly, Harris' new bio on the micro-blogging site reads: "Vice President-Elect of the United States. Senator, Wife, Momala, Auntie. Fighting for the people. She/her (sic)." Soon after having emerged on top in the 2020 presidential race, the pair delivered their victory speeches in Delaware.
In his victory speech, Biden called for national healing after a deeply divisive campaign of harsh rhetoric. His speech was centred around domestic issues, especially bringing the nation together and pulling it out of the COVID-19 crisis. Harris also delivered a rousing victory speech invoking memories of her mother, urging the young to "dream with ambition" and hailing President-elect Joe Biden for his "audacity" in selecting a woman as his running mate.
