Washington, June 29: Ivanka Trump, US President Donald Trump's daughter and senior White House adviser, shed some light on what was discussed during his father's meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Ivanka Trump's video summarising Donald Trump's meetings with Narendra Modi and Shinzo Abe, however, did not go well with a section of Twitter users who sought to know on behalf of whom she was speaking.

Ahead of the G20 Summit in Osaka, Donald Trump attended a trilateral meeting with Modi and Abe. He also held a separate bilateral talks with PM Modi. Following the two meetings, the White House shared a video in which Ivanka Trump is seen reading out what was discussed between the three leaders. "We are here at the G20 in Osaka and Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Abe just concluded a meeting with the President talking about 5G technology, particularly with focus on its security implication," says Ivanka.

Ivanka Trump's video on US President's meeting with Narendra Modi and Shinzo Abe:

"...A subsequent productive conversation, a one-on-one meeting between the President and Prime Minister Modi (was held) where the same issues were covered, of course 5G, as well as trade relationship between the United States and India, a critical trading partner, a critical security partner and a critical ally. So it was a productive discussion, everything from Iran to national security was covered by the President and the US delegation with their Indian counterparts," she adds. G20 Summit: Terrorism Biggest Threat to Humanity, Says PM Narendra Modi at BRICS Leaders' Meeting.

Twitter users then questioned the role of Ivanka at the G20 Summit. They questioned locus standi of the US President's daughter for reading out details of the meetings.

Here are some tweets questioning Ivanka Trump's role at G20 Summit:

Ivanka was among the US delegation accompanying Donald Trump to Osaka in Japan for the G20 Summit. She advises the US President on job creation and economic empowerment.
