Genoa, August 14: A bridge collapsed in the northern Italian city of Genoa, on Tuesday, according to media reports. A 200m (650ft) section of the Morandi Bridge collapsed during a sudden and violent storm.
The bridge, which was a part of the A10 motorway, is about 100 metres tall, as per Italian media reports. Watch video of the collapse in the tweet below:

Huge sections of rubble could be seen on the ground, under the middle of the bridge, showed photographs. See one of the pictures in the tweet below:

According to media reports, about 10 vehicles were involved when the collapse took place. At least 12 people have been reportedly killed in the accident.
