New Delhi, October 17: At least 250 civilians killed and many were taken hostages in the unprecedented October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. In the confusion following the deadly attack, citizens of many countries scrambled to locate their loved ones, many of whom were either living in the Israel border near Gaza or attending a music festival at the border. Eyal Waldman, an American millionaire, was one such person who was looking for his daughter Danielle Waldman.
Danielle Waldman was attending the music festival along with her boyfriend Noam Shai in the Israel border when they were both killed by Pro-Palestine militant group Hamas. While looking for his 24-year-old Israeli-American daughter, Eyal Waldman was hoping that she would be alive. He tracked her phone and Apple Watch only to find out that she was among those killed in the deadly Hamas attack. "Three hours after landing in Israel I went down South and found the car that Danielle and her boyfriend were in. At least three Kalashnikov guns had ripped the car that they were travelling in. We found some belongings inside the vehicle and knew it was the car my daughter was in because of an emergency call we had received in our cell phone that had the crash call feature," Eyal said while breaking down during an interview with i24NEWS.
According to the US businessman, his daughter and her six-year-long boyfriend had moved in a new flat with a dog and were planning to marry soon. "However, they will be buried together now due to unfortunate events. Each and everyone that met her have loved her,” CNN quoted the bereaved father as saying.
