Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan confirms his third marriage with spiritual guide Bushra Maneka, his party reported on February 18. It was only last month that he made headlines after asking his supporters in a tweet to pray that he finds "personal happiness which, except for a few years, I have been deprived of." Well it seems that his wish has confirmed pretty soon as his fans and supporters took to social media to congratulate the skipper on tying the knot. The 65-year-old, a cricketer-turned-politician, married Bushra Bibi (also known as Pinki Pir) in a simple ceremony held at Lahore, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said in a Tweet.

While his followers are showering blessings on the social media platform, there are few comical reactions too. After all, his multi-married life has been more popular than his professions. Let’s take a look at her beautiful wives who has tingled Mr. Khan’s heart at once.

British journalist and Campaigner Jemina Goldsmith

Imran Khan married Jemina Marcelle Goldsmith, a popular British journalist and campaigner in 1995 in a traditional Islamic ceremony in Paris. They first met by chance at a dinner party in London, at a time when Imran Khan was Pakistan’s most glamorous cricketer. After her marriage to Khan, she relocated to his hometown Lahore, Pakistan where she learned to speak Urdu and also wore traditional Pakistani clothes. But during her time in Pakistan, Goldsmith was constantly under attack due to her Jewish family background. In 1999, she was charged in Pakistan with illegally exporting Islamic era antique tiles. This forced her to leave the country. Eventually, the marriage ended amicably, and the couple divorced in 2004. They ended their nine-years long married life. And the reports suggest the reason behind the separation has been Jemina’s difficulty to adapt life in Pakistan. Khan has two sons from his marriage with Goldsmith.

Journalist and Film Producer Reham Khan

Reham Khan is a journalist and film producer of British Pakistani descent. Imran Khan confirmed his marriage to Reham on January 6, 2015. But it lasts only for a short period and they separated on the same year in October 30 in a divorce. She confronted in an interview that her wilful thoughts entirely changed after her marriage. Everything she stood for and her independent opinions had to be compromised. And she willingly did so out of love. She precisely confirmed that no one but the couple themselves were responsible for the breakdown of the relationship.

Spiritual Guide Bushra Maneka

Bushra Maneka is Imran Khan’s current wife who has been his spiritual advisor. Bushra Maneka is in her 40s and from the Wattoo clan, of which the Manekas are a sub-clan. She was married to Khawar Farid Maneka who is a senior customs official in Islamabad and is a mother of five children. Imran Khan has confirmed in the mainstream that he has always valued Maneka’s guidance and perhaps that is why he found a companion in her.

Whatsoever the history remains, of course a happy marriage can bring a lifetime of love, companionship and fulfilment. We wish the couple has a blissful life together.
