Notably, Maneka is the third wife of Khan and got married to him in February this year. A spiritual preacher, she has been credited by political analysts for the conservative image adopted by Khan which has boosted his popularity among the masses.
Here is the clarification tweeted by Pakistan's Ministry of Information:
Khan, 65, has two sons - Salman and Qasim - from his first wife Jemima Goldsmith, a renowned film producer in the UK. The marriage lasted for 10 years and ended in 2004. In 2015, Khan married to British journalist Reham Khan. The marriage, however, lasted for nearly 10 months.
