Islamabad, February 26: Pakistan's ruling party, Prime Minister Imran Khan led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in a series of tweets has reacted on the Indian Air Force (IAF) operation on the JeM terror camps in Balakot, Muzaffarabad and Chakothi in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. The party said in its tweet that PM Imran Khan has "decided to engage with global leadership to expose irresponsible Indian policy in the region and that he appreciated timely and effective response of PAF to repulse Indian attempt without any loss of life or property." Reactions from leaders across the political spectrum have reacted on the IAF's action in Pakistan. The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi said that Pakistan's armed forces are determined to overcome all challenges and that "Pakistan knows how to protect their country."
Pakistan Defence Minister Pervez Khattak said that "violation of the line of control by India is unacceptable to Pakistan army and people of the country and safety."
Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pakistan Foreign Minister, said that India has conducted a violation of the Line of Control and Pakistan reserves the right to an appropriate response and self-defence.
The IAF strike included 12 Mirage 2000 jets taking part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror camps across LOC, completely destroying them. The strikes took place At 03: 30 hours on 26th February, 2019, across the LoC and lasted for over 20 minutes. Reports say that at least 300 terrorists have been killed in the attack.
