Beirut, October 4: Slained Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has been temporarily buried in a secret location, sources close to the matter told AFP. As per the reports, the burial site is kept secret amid fears of Israeli strikes. The burial is temporary until a public funeral can be organised. Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon on September 27.

A source said, "Hassan Nasrallah has been temporarily buried until the circumstances allow for a public funeral." Hezbollah has not yet announced specific plans for Nasrallah's funeral. Reports suggest his final resting place could be either in Lebanon or Iraq. Nasrallah, the 64-year-old leader of the Iran-backed group for over three decades, was killed in a massive Israeli airstrike targeting Hezbollah's central headquarters in Lebanon's Beirut. Reports indicate that 80 tons of bunker-busting bombs were used to hit the bunker where Nasrallah and senior Hezbollah leaders were meeting. The explosions breached the bunker, releasing toxic fumes that likely led to Nasrallah's death by asphyxiation. His body showed no visible external injuries, suggesting he may have suffocated in the toxic environment created by the blast.
