Girl Kills Best Friend, Shares Child Porn for 9 Million Dollars After Catfisher Promised Her Rewards on Social Media

In a gruesome case of catfishing and murder, a teen murdered her best friend on a fake millionaire's directions for $9 million to the girl for the murder. Reports also have it that she shared child porn videos of other victims with the man. According to reports, Darin Schilmiller posed as a multi-millionaire named "Tyler" on social media and groomed Denali Brehmer via online conversations, who is accused of killing Cynthia Hoffman who was her best friend. Reports have it that the victim had a learning disability. The man who is accused of catfishing the girl was said to be 21-year-old from Indiana and he managed to convince this 18-year old girl from Alaska to kill her 19-year-old friend for which he offered to pay millions if she gave him the pictures and video of the crime. As per reports from CNN, the teenage girl has also been accused of sharing child pornography videos of other victims with Schilmiller. On 2 June 2019, Schilmiller also received images and clips of Hoffman’s murder. Brehmer allegedly had enlisted four friends out of which Kayden McIntosh 16 and Caleb Leyland, 19 and two other teens whose names are being withheld, CNN reported helped the girl plan and carry out the murder.
Not only murder but Schilmiller had also directed Brehmer to sexually assault an "8- or 9-year-old" and a 15-year-old and send videos to him, as per CNN Brehmer confessed to the investigators that she did as she was told to and video of the 15-year-old was recovered by investigators. Denali Brehmer has been imputed in federal court on charges of conspiracy, production and distribution of child pornography, and will face first-degree murder and other counts in state court, CNN reports suggest. Brehmer committed the crime by luring Cynthia Hoffman, 19, on a hike and shooting her in the back of the head. "For all of the good the internet can do, it can be a dark place and parents would be wise to monitor the activity of their children online," The US Attorney for the District of Alaska, Bryan Schroder, warned all the parents after the case, as per reports.
