Bavaria, October 13: Andreas Munzhuber, 37, a senior member of the neo-Nazi group “The Third Way,” fell nearly 200 feet to his death while hiking on Untersberg mountain, Adolf Hitler’s favorite summit, on September 29 in Bavaria. Munzhuber was part of a 30-person tour when he reportedly tripped on a wet tree root and plunged 196 feet down rocky terrain. Rescue teams arrived quickly but found him dead at the scene.

Untersberg, a 6,500-foot summit in Bavaria, was historically known as Hitler’s favorite view. The Nazi dictator had his Eagle’s Nest retreat nearby, making the site infamous among right-wing extremist groups. Despite its dark past, the mountain remains a popular destination, particularly for individuals connected to far-right ideology. US Shocker: Woman Caught on Camera Poisoning Husband’s Coffee With Bleach, Strikes Plea Deal to Avoid Prison.

Following Munzhuber’s death, right-wing extremist groups began raising funds on Telegram and Facebook to support his family and erect a memorial at the location of his fall, reported NYPost. By Friday, over USD 7,000 had been collected for the memorial, with another appeal raising more than USD 13,000 for his wife and child, according to reports. US Shocker: Man Stabs Mother to Death, Injures Father for Refusing Him Night Stay at Their House in Ohio, Arrested.

“His death hits us all hard,” a statement on the donations page read, reflecting the group’s ongoing solidarity. Munzhuber’s death has drawn attention to the ongoing presence of neo-Nazi sentiment in Germany, with various extremist groups using his passing to further their cause and reinforce their network.
