Mumbai, September 12: Kristina Joksimovic, former Miss Switzerland finalist,  was allegedly killed by her husband, Thomas, who then cut up her body and dissolved it. The 34-year-old was found dead on February 13 in her Binningen home near Basel. Authorities determined she was strangled. Her husband, Thomas, confessed to the crime and was arrested. The federal court in Lausanne denied his appeal for release on September 11.

Kristina Joksimovic started her career in modelling, winning Miss Northwest Switzerland in 2003 and reaching the finals of Miss Switzerland in 2008. She later became a coach, helping models and businesswomen build confidence. According to an autopsy report and her husband's confession, Kristina joksimovic was strangled . Her body was dismembered in the laundry room using a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears. Thomas claims he killed his wife in self-defence, alleging she attacked him with a knife. He admitted to panicking afterwards and dismembering her body. However, forensic reports dispute his claim, revealing signs of mental illness and sadistic tendencies. Investigators described him as displaying "remarkably high criminal energy, lack of empathy, and cold-bloodedness" after the murder. Prosecutors also uncovered that Thomas had previously strangled his wife, and a former partner alleged he once grabbed her by the neck and slammed her head against a wall.
