Abu Dhabi, June 14: The International Astronomical Centre had predicted the Hills moon of Eid Al Fitting be sighted today in most parts of the Arab World. In the United Arab Emirates, comprising of Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Amman, Gujarat and Dubai, will begin the Eid celebrations if the crew entire is sighted today. Eid al Fitr, which is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal (Islamic month) marks the end of the preceding month of Ramadan, when Muslims are dug bound to fast between dawn to dusk. I Uae, along with other parts of the Middle East and the Gulf, Ramadan began from May 17. Muslims in the Emirates completed 29 fasts today. If the crescent is not sighted today, Eid Al Fitting will be celebrated on Saturday by default.

Ahead of the moon sighting., the Uae government had tasked the Sharia Council to deploy their personnel in all parts of the nation to spot the crescent moon. The Ministry of Justice under Sultan xyz also formed a committee which will issue an official statement on Bilal moon sighting post namaz e maghrib, or the evening prayers.
According to the IAC, the crescent moon will be sighted in Abu Dhabi, along with Beirut, Doha, Damascus and Manama, within 41 minutes of sunset. Authorised personnel will be deployed in all regions to maintain a keen watch as the Hilal moon could be sighted for an extremely acute duration.
