Lahore, September 24: An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 jolted the New Mirpur City in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and other cities including Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi in Pakistan on Tuesday late noon. Reports claim that the earthquake reported was 6.3 on richter scale, but the USGS said that the earthquake measured was 5.8 on the richter scale. Regardless, the impact of the earthquake was felt in several cities and across the North India regions including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Delhi-NCR and other parts. At least 19 people have died and over 300 injured in earthquake related incidents, reported AFP. The powerful earthquake in Pakistan jolted the cities of Lahore and Mirpur, and send shivers down the spine of the people. There was also reports of tremors experienced in Delhi-NCR region in India and several parts of North India. However, unlike Pakistan, no loss of lives of property has been reported from India due to the earthquake related incidents.
